Version 2026-08-31 · Effective 31 August 2026
the Pubwatch Live service operator provides PUBWATCH Live as a controlled safety-information service. You confirm that your information is accurate, that you are authorised to use the service, and that you will only access information needed for legitimate venue-safety, security, safeguarding or legal-compliance purposes.
PUBWATCH Live is a tool for the licensed-premises and security trade. It supports the Licensing Act 2003 objectives of preventing crime and disorder and promoting public safety; it is not a licensing authority, enforcement body, decision-maker or substitute for the venue's own policies, licence conditions, professional judgement or legal duties.
Information in PUBWATCH Live is intelligence to be considered by the operative or venue. The operative and venue alone decide whether to take any action and must make a lawful, fair, proportionate and human assessment in the circumstances. PUBWATCH Live does not require, authorise or automate refusal of entry, exclusion, enforcement action or any other decision about an individual.
Exclusion and incident information may contain personal data. You must keep it confidential; restrict it to trained, authorised people; use it only for the stated safety purpose; and apply a human, proportionate assessment. You must not publish, sell, copy into personal devices, use for marketing, discrimination, retaliation, entertainment, or make an automated decision solely from the information.
You must protect your account, not share credentials, use a secure device, sign out of shared devices, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or misuse at privacy@pubwatch.live. We maintain a minimised service-activity audit trail to protect the service, investigate misuse and demonstrate accountability. Where you have enabled device location, the trail includes the GPS coordinates and accuracy supplied with your activity; otherwise location remains blank. It does not store passwords, submitted form content, photos, push endpoints, raw IP addresses or raw device strings. The trail is restricted to authorised administrators and retained for 12 months unless a documented legal requirement justifies longer retention. We may suspend access where needed to protect people, data or the service.
Each organisation must comply with applicable UK data-protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. You must have an appropriate lawful basis before collecting, viewing, sharing or acting on personal data; keep it accurate; minimise access; retain it only as necessary; honour data-subject rights; and maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Where the parties act as separate controllers, each remains responsible for its own processing. Any processor arrangement requires a written agreement.
SIA information is subject to verification and may change. A user is not verified solely because a number was entered. PUBWATCH Live may require manual SIA-register checks before enabling personal access. Information in the service is not a guarantee, legal advice, or a replacement for on-site judgement, emergency procedures or statutory reporting.
We may audit use, remove inaccurate content, suspend or terminate access, and update these terms to protect the service or meet legal requirements. Continued use after an updated version is presented means acceptance of that version, except where law requires another process. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a warranty that data is complete, current or suitable for a particular decision.
